When To Accept LBC Pap Test

Since liquid-based cytology cervical test is a very useful method for early detection of cervical cancer, it may be asked when a woman should have such test. Below table will tell you who should accept such test as well as the suggested interval for the test.
| Criteria | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| Woman under 21 years old | Avoid having such test |
| 21~29 years old | Accept the test every 2 years |
| 30~65 / 70 years old | An interval of 3 years for such test is suggested |
| 65/70 years old or older | May stop accepting such test |
| HPV positive | Accept the test every year |
